Among the many tasks performed on a daily basis, The DPW staff is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the Sanitary and Storm Sewer System, The Water Distribution System, and The Water Treatment Plant.

The Water System consists of two water supply wells, an arsenic removal plant with a high pressure filter, a 125,000 gallon elevated storage tank, and approximately 12 miles of water main. The Sanitary sewer system includes five lift stations, over 10 miles of sanitary sewer, and two Waste Stabilization Lagoons. The Storm Sewer System consists of many miles of storm sewer along with the recently renovated Fulton Drain.

The DPW team is also responsible for the maintenance and repair of streets and sidewalks and for maintaining the parks located throughout the village, to keep them clean and safe for our residents.
The DPW staff also have the responsibility of yard waste and brush collection from April through November, as well as leaf pickup in the fall.

The DPW staff takes great pride in providing these essential services to the residents of Mayville.
